Shahab Hosseini establishes new film company

Actor Shahab Hosseini, director Kourosh Ahari and producer Alex Bretow have teamed up for the establishment of  their new film company named Pol Media.

The word ‘Pol’ means bridge in English and this distribution and production company aims to act as a bridge between Iranian and international culture by distributing Iranian films around the world.

Pol Media plans to hold events that host Iranian and international actors and filmmakers.

The company already has produced a master class event featuring Behrouz Vosoughi.

Hosseini has performed in Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning films ‘A Separation’ and ‘The Salesman’.

Iranian filmmaker and producer Ahari recently directed the horror-thriller ‘The Night’ starring Hosseini.  Bretow was one of the producers of this film.
